Torus Mandibularis refers to a bony growth in the lower jaw (mandible). This common condition is characterized by a hard lump of bone that develops on the inner side of the mandible, usually near the premolars. While the exact cause remains unknown, genetics and bruxism (teeth grinding) are suspected contributing factors. In most cases, torus mandibularis is asymptomatic and requires no treatment. However, large or symptomatic tori may necessitate surgical removal to improve comfort or facilitate dental procedures.
