European orthogonal projection, also known as first-angle projection, is a method of representing 3D objects in 2D using multiple views. It differs from American (third-angle) projection in the placement of the views. In European projection, the object is conceptually placed behind the projection plane, resulting in the front view being at the top, the top view at the bottom, and the left-side view on the right, and vice versa. This technique is widely used in engineering and technical drawings to accurately communicate the shape and dimensions of an object.
