Interlobar Veins and Segmental Veins: Understanding Blood Supply

Powered By Do The Interlobar Veins Supply Blood To The Segmental Veins

Interlobar veins do not directly supply blood to the segmental veins. Instead, segmental veins drain blood from the lung segments. These segmental veins then merge to form larger veins, eventually leading to the pulmonary veins that carry oxygenated blood back to the heart. The interlobar veins are located between the lobes of the lungs and also contribute to the venous drainage of the lung tissue, but their flow is separate from the segmental veins.
